What is the minimum quantity and associated costs?
Custom Pickleballs are Minimum order is 300 balls (single color) at $1,000 and Custom Pickleball Paddles are Minimum order is 50 paddles (single type) at $3,750. Please note: Pricing is fixed regardless of ball color or paddle type, and there are no discounts for larger orders, and Franklin Sports will be paying for shipping/handling fees.
What products are eligible for the custom program?
Custom Pickleballs are Available in four colors—Optic Yellow, Vibrant Pink, Lava Orange, and Ember Red. The Custom Paddle are Available in two shapes—Traditional Wide-Body with ply core or Elongated. How long does the process take to receive the custom products?

Are these products USA Pickleball approved?
Custom Franklin X-40 Pickleballs are USA Pickleball approved. Custom paddles are not USA Pickleball approved. For USAP-approved paddles, please contact Ryan Fritschy.

Is there a review of the final custom design prior to assembly?
Yes, the team will provide final concept designs for approval before invoicing and beginning production.
What is the difference between 13mm paddle thickness and 16mm paddle thickness?
The 13mm Paddle is “Power”-focused, offering more speed and pop due to a thinner core—ideal for aggressive players. The 16mm Paddle is “Control”-focused, providing a larger sweet spot and better ball absorption—ideal for players prioritizing touch and accuracy.
Can both sides of the paddle face have a custom design?
Yes, both faces can be customized. Currently, the edge guard, grip tape, butt cap sticker, and grip band cannot be customized.
What is the difference between Elongated & Traditional?
The Traditional Paddle is a shorter and wider, offering a larger sweet spot and more forgiveness—great for all-around play. The Elongated Paddle is a longer and narrower, providing greater reach, power, and spin potential but with a smaller sweet spot—better suited for advanced players who prioritize reach over forgiveness.
Can I customize the Edge Guard, Grip, Grip Band, or Butt Cap?
At this time, the Custom Franklin Pickleball Program does not offer customization for the edge guard, grip, grip band, or butt cap sticker. These components will remain black.
How is the product shipped? What should I expect?
You can expect the custom balls packed in loose bags, with 100 balls per bag. The custom paddles will be shipped in packs of 50, also loose.
Can the logo on my custom pickleball be in color?
Currently, logos on custom pickleballs are only available in black.
