Janette "Janie" Takeda-Reed is a Professional left-handed hitting softball outfielder from Placentia, California. She attended the University of Oregon, earning three First Team All-Pac-12 honors as well as being named a First Team and Second Team All-American three of her four years. Takeda-Reed since graduation competes for the Team USA softball team and was selected for the 2020 (2021) Summer Olympics.

Franklin Sports has executed a multi-year contract with fastpitch athlete, Janie Reed. With the re-introduction of softball into the 2020 (Now 2021) Summer Olympics, it is a historic time for the sport and aligns with the company’s expansion within the softball industry.

In addition to designing and wearing her custom batting gloves, Janie has also played an integral part in developing and testing the women’s batting glove line.
